Chapter 18: Meeting Ariella

 The day went on smoothly for Jason as he continued with his investigation concerning the case. Athena called in to tell him that she won't be able to make it back to the office since she was already loaded with tons of work. Time flew and before long it was time for everyone to clock out of work at 6 in the evening. Jason went straight home to relax before he gets ready to go for the date with Marla.

Meanwhile at Sin City police headquarters, Ray was seated in his office his secretary brought him a file of what they could get concerning who Jason West was. When he opened it he was hoping for the worst but soon his fears were cooled down. The file read:

Name : Jason West

Age : 25

Family :Not traceable

Marital status :single

Work experience: He is known to have graduated from law school at the tender age of 21 and managed to land an internship job in Europe where he worked for a small law firm for four years until his internship expired. He later was called to join LA Associates less than two months ago where he has been working ever since. His employer in Europe is said to have given him a four star rating and considered him to grow his career to be a very prominent lawyer in future. As a result of his line of work,he has no criminal record and has been able to make sure that slate is clean.

Ray picked up the landline and called his secretary at her desk.

"Connect me to the Mayor's private line"he told her

After a few seconds of ringing the mayor finally picked the call,

"Hello Mr Ray, I hope you have some good news for me" Gallows said

"Yes, so I had my men look into this Jason guy that you met to know if he serves as a threat to any of us." Ray responded

"Great. So, what did you find out?" Gallows asked

"Well,according to what I have so far on him is that he's just a rookie and this is his first official case that he's been assigned. No criminal record, no known family and apparently Alpha has decide to assign this rookie to such a huge case. Either Alpha is the most dumbest guy on the planet or he already knows he's fighting a losing battle and just wanted to give the rookie a case to sharpen his claws on."Ray told him

"Or maybe there's more to this guy that we don't know about and he happens to be a needle on the heel later in future." Gallows added on.

"I had my best men dig this info up. There's no possible way that they would have missed any detail about him.So just relax and go have some good time with the money that you received and blow some on Mrs Gallows and spend some in the streets of Sin City to increase your popularity. Don't be jittery, someone might notice and start asking you questions. We wouldn't want that,would we?" Ray asked

"No we wouldn't. Let me take your advice and hope that the gut feeling I have right now is just a gut feeling. Nothing more" Gallows responded

"As you should" Ray said as he hung up and threw the file into the dustbin." This is why I hate working with politicians, always scared of something small that might taint their images. Weak links." Ray thought

It was fast approaching 7pm and Jason had already prepared himself and went to the dock. He entered a restaurant and ordered for a drink as he waited for Marla.

At around ten minutes to 7 he spotted her from a distance walking into the gate to the docks, he watched her as she approached one of the security guards to which he presumed that she was asking for 'Ariella' as he had instructed her

"Oh,you must be Marla. We've been expecting you" the guard responded to Marla's question

"Expecting me?" She asked

"Yes, Mr West is over there by that restaurant. He's waiting for you." The guard replied before he went back to what he was doing

Jason watched as she started walking towards the restaurant and walk in through the front door. Compared to last time,she had worn much more of simple attire today.

She had her hair on one side falling on her shoulders. Her makeup was slightly done to highlight her beauty with red lipstick complimented by lip gloss that made her lips shine and look inviting. For her top she had on a white off shoulder with short sleeves that went to just above her navel. She also had on blue jeans that hugged her body tightly revealing her every curve without hiding anything. She had on black Nike air force sneakers with white ankle socks. On her wrist she had a small golden locket and a silver watch that matched a silver necklace that went down to her cleavage. On her other hand she held a small white purse where she had kept her personal items. As she walked to where Jason was seated, he couldn't help but notice a few faces turning as she passed them. In his mind he couldn't help but smile as he knew that he can have her at his side without the need to use any pick up lines.

Marla spotted Jason at the far end of the restaurant where he was seated next to the window watching her as she approached. His hair was neatly combed and he had on his glasses which emphasized on his gorgeous eyes which she loved looking into. He had on a red t-shirt which brought out his upper body,though he wasn't much of a masculine type of guy, she could see that the shirt showed what he had to which she loved. She could see that he had on grey sweatpants and as she got closer she was able to make out his red Puma sneakers

Jason got up and hugged her tightly when she got to where he was seated. Both took in each other's body spray which coincidentally were not so conc but together they made a perfect blend.

"You look handsome, damn" she said as she sat down

"Thank you, you also don't look so bad yourself. I love the casual wear,makes you look stunning." He said as he went to her side and stretched out his hand for her. She looked at him rather confused.

"You didn't expect me to take you on a date in just a restaurant did you?" He asked

She took his hand and rose to her feet,

"You know, most guys actually ask the girl if she wants a drink" she said

"Well I'm not most guys, plus where I'm planning to take you,you will have better drinks than you can get here" he said as he led her out of the small restaurant.

He engaged her in some small talk about the dock as they started walking to where the boats were docked.

"So what do you have planned for me this evening?" Marla asked." Because all I can see are just boats around and not a lot of people. Maybe you are taking me somewhere quiet so that you can kill me "she joked as they both laughed

"Will you be just a bit patient,plus if I had any plans to kill you,which I don't,I would've made sure that I'm not the last person you're seen with at the restaurant." He responded with a chuckle

"Oh, you have already planned it out in your head" she said as she tugged his shoulder.

"The thing about being in the field of law is that you learn what most criminals do and eventually one can even become one. Actually, even better than any I've met." Jason said

"Are you trying to scare me?" She asked

"Not really" he answered,"you should learn to know when I'm serious and when I'm just teasing"

They came to the end of the dock and it is there that Marla saw it. She turned to Jason who's face was on it. One of the most luxurious yacht she's ever seen

"Marla,I'd like for you to meet Ariella.

Ariela is equipped with multiple swimming pools, a seawater pool, two helipads, a dance floor, a submarine, a spa pool, a snow room, a steam room, and play areas for wealthy guests to enjoy. With multiple decks, guests will find an underwater viewing room to watch passing marine life in total comfort ,a beach club, a massage room, movie theater, air conditioning, and a jacuzzi on the deck. Should pirates rear their ugly mugs, Ariela features a powerful water cannon for protection. It also features an underwater lighting, a modern gymnasium, cinema, and a conference room for business purposes

She took three years to build, using 10,000 kilograms of solid gold and platinum, both of which adorn the dining area, deck, rails, staircases, and anchor. If that weren't luxurious enough, the master suite features a meteorite rock wall, a statue made of Tyrannosaurus Rex bones, a 68 kg 24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium, and a liquor bottle adorned with a rare 18.5-carat diamond. State of the art machine" Jason finished off as Marla marveled at the features

"Ooh my God" she gasped." How much did it cost you to book her?" She asked

"I didn't. I own her." He replied as he led her on board.
