else. She had planned for everything but she had not planned for this.

"It wasn't supposed to be a date.l just asked to show you around. But I wouldn't mind going on one so then I suppose it's a date. Athena said as she playfully toyed with the buttons she had opened. 

"I wish I could sit here and watch you blush the way

It was now 2:00.She had thirty minutes to spare.

Jason's point of view (P.O.V)

After Jason had walked away from Athena.he couldn't help but grin at what he had just done.He knew that she was eyeing him but he played dumb. It was not the first time that his looks had turned him to be a chic magnet.He was consciously aware that Athena was at a superior level in the company, this was not going to stop him from doing what he did best.Becoming an irresistible charmer. "Since I'm not sure l even know what you like.l had some two tickets to an opera downtown. Might not be the best deal I can offer but it is the only one I can think of since it's on such short notice"

"When and what time?" Jason asked

"Today at 7pm. Meet me at the Grand Sin City Hall, that's if you can find it." She said laughing

The elevator dinged and opened. They got out and started walking towards the reception

The girl at the reception started talking to Marla but when her eyes found Jason's she nearly dropped her up of coffee but she was able to steady her hand and greet him.

"Well it looks like I just became the third wheel in this conversation, so adios. I have some work to get to. And Jaso.." Marla started as she turned around to leave.

"I'm flattered by the gesture. I guess I must get to work so that I live up to the praise that I've received" he said mocking the boss. "By the way, I haven't got the chance to know your name."

"I'm Kayla. But you can call me Kay." She said in a soft voice

"My oh my, So you are Kayla. This just got interesting." his smile became wider

"What's that supposed to mean? She asked with a raised brow

"Nevermind, it's not something that should bother you. Anyway, I should be on my way then. I have to attend to some work"

"I believe that is not going to happen." She said to him as he was about to leave

"Why's that?" he turned back"Miss Athena called a few minutes ago. She told me that she had some work for you so l cancelled all your appointments. It seems that she had quite a handful of work for you. If I were you, I would start off by impressing her, even though she's a hard woman to impress" 

Jason chuckled and after clearing his throat he said, "she's a hard woman to impress you say. We'll see about that"

"I like your confidence. Tell you what, if you do that by the end of today, I'll let you see me in my lingerie" Kayla said jokingly

  CHAPTER 3>> The Date.

When Jason got to the hotel, he was quite surprised. It was one of those fancy hotels that only the few privileged people were able to afford or even get a reservation. Looking at his watch, he was exactly on time. He walked through the front door where he met a young man in a suit at the check-in.

"Good afternoon Mr..." the guy started with an enthusiastic tone

"Jason, welcome to the Takeout Hotel. Do you have reservation if I may ask" the lad continued

Jason was led through the main doors into the hotel.Inside, it was a large room with tables here and there. When Athena took notice of Jason's presence she placed the glass on the table and rose to her feet

"Right on time. I'm impressed. I almost thought you were going to bail out on me." She said as she leaned in for a hug. eyed him curiously

"I'm trying to figure you out but you're a hard book to read" Athena finally said after a short silence

"Well to start with.l wanna know why you left your previous job. I mean you have such a good track record and suddenly coming to a small firm like Legit Alpha Associates ,it doesn't add up"

"You really don't like to beat around the bush do you? | was waiting for a 'what kinda hobbies do you like? or a 'what type of music do you listen to? but you are really going for the hard hitters" Jason said as he sipped on the wine that Athena had poured him

"You could say that" Athena responded as she twirled her finger on the edge of her glass playfully

"Your firm poached me from my previous employer. I was told my coming here was to boost this firm. I wasn't allowed to know my bidding price that bought me off from

Athena sat upright as she took the bottle of wine away so that the waiter could place the food

control,took charge of any situation despite the circumstances. All these made her want to spend more

time with him to get to know him better. Jason finally responded, 

"I don't to stunts Athena". He then continued as he lifted his thumb for her to see," everything I do, I do it with a reason " his hand then dropped back to the table.

"So whatever you..." She started before her phone started to ring. She picked it up and answered." Hello.yes,Im around. Ill be there in a few."

She hang up the phone and looked at Jason who had an

enquiring look." Its the office. Alpha has set up a meeting with one of our biggest clients and he has asked me to be there in five minutes. I'm sorry I have to leave so suddenly, " she said as she she started to leave. "But I have relieved you off your duties in the office so you can probably have the rest of the day off."

She headed to the booth exit only to be stopped by

Jason's words. "Hey" he called out, "thank you for the

lunch. It was tasty" he finished with a teasing wink at Athena.At the utterance of his last two statements.it was when Athena realized that he still had her underwear. She turned around and walked slowly to where he sat and stretched out her hand, 

"My underwear please "she said Jason gave a chuckle and responded

,"You only get it when I want you to have it back." She was about to say something when he cut her off and continued by saying, "if Im not wrong,you should be going to that meeting and time's running out on u. Tick,tock, tick,tock.."

Athena had no time to argue, literally. She would rather

continue with this argument later. She turned and left.

Jason opened another tab and ordered for a margarita to drink down as time passed and as he enjoyed the privacy of the place. As he sipped down his drink his phone rang and the name Tyler popped up. He picked it up and as he eyed his surroundings he said hello

"Tyler,Im still around Sin City. just had lunch with Athena and can say it went well, actually it went perfectly." He then kept quiet for a brief moment and continued, "now's not the time Tyler. I'l tell u when everything is in place. Trust me. After another brief silence he said,"I'll let u know when the time is right. Sure,bye "he hang up and placed the phone back on the table. It didn't take long for the phone to ring again, this time it was Athena. He picked it up,

"Miss me already? He asked with a smirk on his face

"Oh please, don't flatter yourself. The boss wants you

here asap."she responded

"Me? Why?" He enquired.

"I don't know.he said that the meeting will start with your presence here. So don't ask me any questions and get your ass back here."

"Fine ,give me five" Jason checked out as he picked his coat and flagged down a taxi asking him to step on it

Jason walked into the building and headed for the reception.

"Kay.can you please." 

"Fourth floor, third room on ur right. They have been

waiting for you:" Kayla out him off

"Thank you," he shouted as he entered the lift

"Took you long enough" Athena said as he stepped out of the lift and guided him to the room.

Inside the room there was a rectangular table with two chairs on each side. According to what he had heard its

said that this room was soundproof so any meeting held in here was of the highest confidentiality. To his left.he was approached by a man in a suit and a tie. He had on dark glasses that made him unreadable. Jason noticed that he was the only person in the firm that had his hair styled. It was long and rolled into clean dreadlocks that rested on his shoulders.

"Mr Jason, it's good to finally meet you," he said in a voice that carried some authority in it. Athena who was standing beside them as they shook hands addressed Jason, "Jason it is my pleasure to introduce you to Legit Alpha. The CEO and founder of LA Associates."

"The pleasure is all mine" Jason replied as they let go of the handshake.

"Please, have a seat," Alpha gestured for him to seat as he took a seat on one of the narrower sides of the table."Athena,"he turned to her,"please have a seat next to Jason need you two to work on this case together"

Immediately the doors to the room opened and Kayla led

three men and a lady into the room. Two of the men were

in official wear while the other one and lady were in casual wear. As they exchanged pleasantries Kayla left shutting the door behind her. Alpha did the introductions and they all sat down with the two men in suits seating on one of the longer sides of the table and the couple seating opposite to them. Jason and Athena both sat opposite to Alpha on the other end of the table. Alpha cleared his throat and after everyone had settled in

their seats he began, "Mr and Mrs Magraff.l thank you for agreeing to meet us," he then turned to the two gents" the Krovaçic brothers, always a pleasure. Now,to start things off I'm sure you have all noticed that we have a new face in the room. He will be part of this meeting as we need his level of expertise in the field of law."

"And who is he that he gets to sit amongst us?" One of the brothers asked with a voice that had a very strong

Russian accent to it and with a not so happy look on his

face.

"Im glad you asked Mikhail," Alpha started, "in front of you is a man by the name Jason West. He came to us from the Metropolitan. One of the biggest advocacy firms in the whole of Europe. His track record,virtually undefeated in any case given to him. As young as he looks,don't underestimate him. Sitting down with him in this room should be considered as a privilege to most of you. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce all of you to LA Associate's newest hotshot. The man better known as The Ghost of Europe!"

Athena noticed that the two brothers were suddenly

uncomfortable in their seats.

"Impossible!" Mikhail exclaimed as he turned to his brother. "Djokovic tell me...

"It can't be!" Djokovic cut him in,"it can't possibly be!

Athena couldn't take it anymore so she found herself

asking, "Who the hell is the Ghost of Europe?"

    CHAPTER SIX.

[[ DANGEROUS QUESTIONS]]

Everyone was silent. Athena turned to Jason. His face was firm, he didn't even turn to look at her. His eyes were fixed on Alpha. She could feel the tension rising. For some reason, she sensed that Jason was not happy.

"How can you not know who he is?" Alpha asked as he went to get a bottle of water from a far off dispenser in the room. All eyes were on him. Athena was about to ask again when she felt Jason's hand on her lap underneath the table. He didn't shift his gaze from Alpha. She understood the message.

"Come on.of course I know who he is. I was just trying to see if you guys can take a joke and clearly you're all as serious as a heart attack. Jeeez guys,lighten up" Athena said as she looked at the brothers. She felt Jason's grip on her lap easen.

"Good,now we can get back to business," Alpha finally said.

"Which is?" Jason asked breaking his long silence.

"Handling the case on our hands. Mikhail, please hand over some of the details of the case to Jason. He should give us a way forward by the end of the weekend first thing

Monday morning." Alpha said as he answered Jason's question and turned to the couple, " Mr Magraff, I assure

you this case in the best hands."

Mikhail picked out some documents from his briefcase and handed them to Jason. "What should I expect to see?" Jason asked as he lightly went through the papers.

"This guy barely knows what he is up against and you expect us to trust him with this case ?" Mrs Magraff asked half shouting and half saying.

Mrs Magraff.." Djokovic finally broke his silence.

"Stop with the formalities, you can call me Belinda." She cut him off.

"Okay,Belinda. Please calm down'" Djokovic told her.

"Calm down! You want me to calm down! My husband is about to be charged with our own daughter's murder and you expect me to calm down! Her killer is still walking scot-free while my daughter lies in the morgue and you expect me to calm down! They have labelled my husband as the Serbian Slayer and.." She was now shouting with

tears in her eyes

"Silence!" Her husband cut in,"please stop shouting"

Everyone was silent again but Athena couldn't help but notice that Jason's grip had tightened at the utterance of the Serbian Slayer.

"Honey please, let these people do what they do best. Shouting at them will not help in solving anything. At least I know that someone is still willing to help us. We must have faith in them" Mr Magraff said to his wife and then turned to Alpha, "I just hope l've come to the right place" 

"We won't let you down." Alpha said his voice now carrying some seriousness in it. "Jason hope you're ready for your first case"

" I'll need somewhere with some privacy to be able to go through the files. The front desk is not the ideal kinda place to go through such sensitive details concerning this case" Jason said as he removed his hand from Athena's lap and placed it on the table.

"Athena's office is quite spacious. I hope she doesn't mind sharing it. We could have your things moved over by the end of the day" Alpha said now looking at Athena who was

clearly not expecting that. She was about to protest when she realized that it would give her more time with Jason.

"No objection from me" she said as she turned to look at Jason.

"Well, with that settled I guess we now wait for Monday. But before l forget, Jason, we have a hearing tomorrow.Should we ask for more time or should we go to it?" Mikhail

asked.

Let it play out the way it was supposed to play.Don't change anything." Jason answered.

"Are you sure about that?" Belinda intruded

"Do as he says. I trust him." Athena answered before anyone else could, "so should you"

"As you wish." Djokovic said as he arranged his briefcase.

"We should all get some rest. It has been a long day for some of us but at least now I know we have some hope." Alpha said as he got up to walk the Magraff's and the brothers to the door. Jason was still in his sit when Athena walked to the door. She saw this as the right moment to talk to him in private.

She walked behind the exiting pairs and said to Alpha, 

"I would wish to have a moment with Jason, in private. Tell Kay that no one should disturb us."

Athena closed the doors and turned to fave Jason. He still didn't turn to face her. She could see that he was deep in thoughts as his fingers played with the documents on the

table.

"Who the hell are you?" She asked

Jason didn't move. He didn't even show that he acknowledged her presence in the room. She started walking towards him and pulled back his chair so that he could face her. He raised his eyes to meet hers.

"You know exactly who l am.so why are you asking what you already know" Jason said after a few minutes of silence. She noticed that he still wasn't smiling. His demeanour had changed to a cold one.

"Bullshit! You know exactly what I'm asking about. Alpha isn't the kinda person to shower anyone with praise the way he just did today" she went on

"Well,maybe he was in a particularly good mood today. Or maybe you are getting a bit jealous?" Jason asked as he settled back into his chair.

"Jealous you say! I know exactly what you're trying to do and this time you ain't gonna succeed " she leaned over and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"What am l doing?" He asked amidst a smirk.

"You are answering my goddamn questions with a question every time" Athena said as she started to raise her voice

"I don't get the logic of how you want to know who l am when in the first place you are the one who accepted to share an office with me. My belief is that you did it without

anyone's influence on your decision. Or am I wrong?" Jason's face was now becoming friendlier.

"No,but you can't expect me not to wonder who you are. I mean,no one and nothing ever shocks the Krovaçic brothers, yet when they heard your name I swear | saw fear in their eyes and shock. Plus you also got uncomfortable when Alpha referred to you as The Ghost of Europe and not overlooking the fact that you nearly dug your fingers into my leg when you heard the name Serbian Slayer" Athena leaned even closer to Jason with her eyes fixed to his and asked again in a low yet serious tone, "So l ask again,who the hell are you?"

She instantly saw his eyes become cold once again and as if he had sucked the life from the room his look sent chills down her spine. She took her hand off his shoulder and stood straight. Jason rose to his feet in front of her. She had never seen him like this. All her courage melted in an instance just from his look. He raised his hand and placed it on her neck. He slowly pushed her back and backed her up to the door.Her heart was racing fast and her breathing was irregular. She did not know what his intentions were but from the ice cold look, she knew that she was at his mercy and he could do anything he wanted.

He moved closer such that his body pressed onto hers, leaned into her right side and spoke in a deep yet terrifying voice, 

"Don't be scared by me. Instead, you

should be more afraid of what you don't know but seek to find answers to"

Athena closed her eyes. She could feel him leaning back slightly. She felt his lips brush gently on hers. She held her breath. When she opened her eyes.he was still looking at her.

"I am willing to take that risk." She said in a whisper. She then went in for a kiss, Jason did not move neither did he react to her approach. When their lips touched she closed her eyes again. His lips were warm and soft. To her surprise, she felt him kiss her back, slowly and passionately. She let his tongue roam around in her mouth as the kiss became more deeper. Slowly, Jason pulled back making her yearn for more. She opened her eyes and she was now met with his friendly eyes.

He smiled at her and whispered to her, "l have to get going ", his hand moved from her neck to her waist.

"You don't have to go, not now at least" she said with lustful eyes.Athena couldn't deny it any more,she was deeply in love with Jason. He was not like most men she had dated. Although he was, she couldn't resist his effect on her. She raised her hands to his face and gave him another peck on the lips.

"I really have to get going" he said in a soft voice, "I have to meet someone at seven and l'l start running late if stay here with you and do whatever you're thinking" he finished as

he saw her teasing eyes light up.

"Just 'someone'?" She asked with a raised brow.

"Yes,someone,you don't have to start worrying. Its not as if it's a date or something" Jason said as he could see that

she was doubting his every word.

"Well then if its not someone that important you wouldn't mind dropping in at my house after your meet up" she said as she played with his shirt buttons avoiding eye contact.

"My oh my! You really are not wasting any rounds. You're firing on all cylinders aren't you?" He asked as she hid her face on his chest."I'll see if I can make it around 9"

Athena walked to the table and wrote her address on a piece of paper and walked back to Jason,she put it in his shirt pocket with a pat.

I'll be waiting" she said into his ear.

Jason picked the documents on the table and walked to the door gesturing her to step out first. When they reached the ground floor they were walking side by side to the reception.

"How did it go?" Kay asked them enthusiastically.

"Splendid" Jason responded

"Not what l expected" Athena added on.

"Kay,would you mind filing these files for me.l need them sent to my house tomorrow," Jason said as he handed them over to her. "Sure,anything else?"She asked

"Yes, inform the moving staff to have Jason's stuff transferred to my office by end of business today" Athena told her.

"Just to clarify on that, you said to have his stuff moved to your office?" Kay asked obviously confused.

"Correct" Athena confirmed

"I have to get going, so,see you guys Monday morning" Jason said as he was leaving the reception. He walked past Athena and couldn't resist the urge to tease a little bit.Looking at Kayla who was busy sorting the files he had given her while Athena leaned on the reception desk. Her ass was at such an angle that it formed a perfect' P' with her legs. He spanked her slightly avoiding to make a loud noise that would grab unnecessary attention. Athena jerked a little and turned to look at him as he walked away

Athena's P.O.V

Athena was about to react to Jason's spank when she realized that Kayla was right in front of her. All that she could do was watch him as he walked away.

"He's in a good mood today" Kayla said as she went through the files.

"Isn't he always?" Athena asked

"Good question. By the way,do you mind if l ask something ? And don't take it the wrong way" Kay went on now her eyes raised to meet hers

"Go ahead" Athena answered

"What's up with you and Jason sharing an office?" Kayla asked smiling

"Get your head out of that daydream Kay" Athena said after realizing where Kayla was heading to." Its Alpha's doing. He said that we should work together on the Magraff case and that is how I've ended up with Jason as an office mate. "

"Fine,fine," Kayla said as she continued sorting the files." But you can't deny the fact that he is kinda cute you know"

"No lie in that" Athena said as she imagined Jason's face."Away from that, I need to know something too about a certain someone

"Who do you want to know about ?" She asked.

"I'm interested in a guy known as the Ghost of Europe" Athena replied as she watched Kayla's reaction.

"What particularly interests you about him ?" Kayla asked

"Tell me everything you know about him" Athena responded.

"You might want to take a seat first" Kayla said offering her a seat behind the desk." I'm about to tell you about a man believed to be the best lawyer in the whole of Europe. Everywhere he's been,he was given different aliases but the name Ghost stuck more on him because of all the cases he handled. He was thought to be able to posses the judges into ruling in his favor. Never has he ever lost a case, that's according to every lawyer who happened to have come across him in a courtroom. It never mattered whether you were caught red handed killing someone, he

could prove your innocence in a court of law. Ironically, he has never been seen as his way of representation was so unorthodox that it kept his identity a secret. He wouldn't represent you in a court physically but through another advocate. Only this lawyer and the the CEO of the Metropolitan knew his true identity since they would meet in a secret room unknown to everyone else where he would tell the lawyer what to say and how to say it for the case to be won. It was only about one year ago when the lawyer who worked under him pulled out of a case he was handling about a certain serial killer and from that day nothing has been heard from the Ghost. Rumours suggest that he might still be in Europe around Birmingham while others say that he might be dead. If I were asked, I'd say he is still around waiting for the right moment to resurface." Kayla finished off with a slight shrug

"That's a lot to take in" Athena said as she tried to imagine that Jason was the Ghost of Europe but it didn't fit. She even gave it a thought that Alpha might have been playing

a prank on them

"Why the sudden interest?" Kayla asked "Nothing really, I was just clarifying something" Athena said as she got up."are you leaving anytime soon?"

"I'm just finishing with these files and inform the moving staff and I'll be out of here. It has been a long week and I need to lay down." Kayla answered.

"Same as me. I'm just going to lay down and have a few glasses of wine.See you on Monday and enjoy your weekend." Athena said as she started exiting before coming toa halt and head back to Kayla who was looking at her

" Did you forget something? "Kayla asked

"No..I mean yes. One last thing,what is the name of the lawyer who worked with the Ghost of Europe?" Athena asked as she seemed deep in thoughts

"Krovaçic... Yuri Krovaçic" Kayla answered and watched Athena's reaction,"he is,,or rather was the father of the Krovaçic brothers "

Jason's P.O.V

Jason walked out of the premises and was about to flag down a taxi when Legit Alpha's hammer limousine pulled up. One of the windows rolled down and Alpha offered to give him a ride.

"Where to?" Alpha asked as Jason took his seat

"Nova's Suits and Wears" Jason replied.

"What's the occasion ?" Alpha asked as he was a bit curious since Nova's Suits and Wears was among the top designer clothes stores in Sin City.

"Nothing big. I just want to wind up my week with a show at the Grand Sin City Hall" Jason responded.

"Ah, l didn't take you for a man who listens to opera" Alpha went on

"I wouldn't say it's my cup of coffee but once in a while I don't mind sitting down to hear the guys sing their voices hoarse" Jason said with a chuckle. Jason was resting his head on the chair when he remembered what Alpha had disclosed during the meeting

"Mr. Legit, he began in a now serious tone, "why did you ask for my presence during the meeting?" He asked

"Your skills were needed and I couldn't look for another person considering the nature of that case" Alpha responded in a similar tone.

"You know what that Serb's name means to me" Jason added

"I know, but if this case were to go wrong way,we would stand no chance of getting some closure. We need the upper hand throughout." Alpha told him as he readjusted his seat

"Are you underestimating me?" Jason asked a bit offended at the thought.

"No. But don't forget this isn't Europe Jason. It's Sin City." Alpha cut in

"It's about to become My Sin City." Jason responded."But you spoke too soon Alpha. I was to be on the low key for a longer period"

"I couldn't wait any longer. But no damage has been done. Its not as if the whole firm knows who you really are" Alpha said as the car came to a halt.

"We're here" the driver said

"Give us a moment" Alpha responded to the driver

"What about the Krovaçic brothers?" Jason asked

"I trust them with my life. So should you. They know the good,the bad and the ugly of Sin City. If you need anyone to help you with handling this case, these are the right men. Now my only concern is Athena'" Alpha said with some Concern in his voice.

"Leave her to me" Jason told him

"Are you sure about that?" Alpha asked, "she might get curious and start asking questions"

"I can handle her. Just keep those brothers in check" Jason said as he was reading to get out of the car

"As you wish,enjoy your weekend" Alpha said a bit assured

"You too" Jason said as he exited the car and watched it drive off. Jason walked into the building and started picking out a few clothes. He wanted to spice up his look. After a few minutes of surfing through the clothes in the store he finally decided to go for a light blue blazer and a matching trouser that reached his ankles. He had on a white pull neck that was complimented by a single golden necklace with the initials SC on it. He picked out a black Rolex watch with a pair of golden cufflinks. On his feet he had on a pair

of white air force sneakers with white ankle socks. He also had a black leather belt with a golden buckle with the initial GOE on it. He finished his look with a pair of dark shades that spelled pure dominance to his demeanour.

After taking one final look at his reflection in the mirror he knew he was ripe for the taking.

He paid for the clothes and requested for his previous attire to be delivered to his house. He took a taxi and when he arrived at the Hall he found quite the crowd outside the premises in small groups talking. All of them

were dressed in fancy outfits and carried themselves in a high class manner. It was now ten past seven and Jason couldn't see Marla anywhere. As he was searching amidst the crowd a Ford Mustang pulled up at the entrance. It was yellow with two black stripes running from the front to the back. Jason checked from a distance a bit curious on who would step out of the car. To his surprise, when the doors opened it was Marla who gave out the keys for the car to be taken in to the underground parking. She was nothing like the Marla he had seen at the office.

She had let her braids fall to one side exposing half of her face and her neck which showed off her tan skin colour. She had on some make up which highlighted her eyes and her face with lip gloss that made her lips to glisten in the light making them look so inviting for any man who looked at her. Around her neck she had on a silver necklace that ran down over her exposed upper chest through to between the beginning of her cleavage with a crescent moon shape at the end of it. She had on a red off shoulder dress that exposed her shoulders and went down all the way to her feet. On her right side, the dress had some

slits of about 1 cm wide that ran from her hips to her feet exposing some of her thigh skin slightly. To her left there was a long slit that went from her feet to just around her

waist line which exposed her beautiful skin as she walked. The dress hugged her body but allowed room for stretching around all her curves making sure everyone would see every single curve on her. Her breasts which

were partially covered by the dress were firm and held up by the dress teasing every man who laid their eyes on them. She had on a pair of silver earrings with the shape of stars and in her hand she held a white purse while on her feet she had on 9 inch heels made of glass which she walked in gracefully.

Jason couldn't deny it. Marla was absolutely gorgeous. She was a beauty to behold and he found himself more than attracted to her. He slowly walked to where she stood. When she saw him she smiled revealing her milky white teeth.

"My oh my! Mr West,who knew you can clean so well" she said as she got closer to him.

"You're talking about cleaning up, have you looked at yourself. Like damn girl" Jason replied as he went in for a hug. He could smell her cologne as he wrapped his arms

around her waist and pulled her in for a tight hug. As they let go she gave him a soft peck on the cheek.

"You look stunning,to be honest,l wasn't expecting this" Jason said as he admired her beauty

"Stop trying to flatter me" she said as she smiled

"I'm being for real. Don't judge me for admiring such a beauty" he said

"But everyone is looking at me,l think I might have over done it a little bit." Marla said as she had noticed some eyes were on her.

Jason put his arm around her waist and pulled her close so that he could talk into her ear. 

"One thing l've learnt in life is that wherever there is light,shadows will be found as well. Some eyes envy while others admire. But what really matters is what you see and want for yourself" Jason then leaned back and made one quick scan at her beauty, his

eyes then raised to meet hers and he said with a straight face, "As for me,l see a gem worthy to be appreciated"

"Thanks for that, it really means a lot," Marla said as she blushed

"Good. Now, shall we?" Jason asked as he stood by her side with one arm around her waist and gestured for them to go into the hall as the show was about to begin.

Marla took in a deep breath and finally said," Let's go".

A night with Athena 

They walked into the hall and took their seats in one of the front rows since Marla's tickets were for VIPs exclusively. The show started at half past seven with three performances on the card. The show was full of extravagance as the artists literary sang their hearts out and their voices hoarse. The audience cheered and clapped for every per performance worth the glory. Time

flew and within a few hours the show was over.

General P.O.V

After the curtains close they walked out of the hall chattering about the experience.

"It was not that bad actually" Jason said to Marla

"Not that bad! I know you liked it," Marla said as she hit him slightly on his arm.

" Okay,okay. I liked it, you happy?" Jason said as he turned around to face her.

"Yes" she responded as they came to a stop at the entrance where they met.

"I don't want to keep you beyond your curfew, Jason said as he smiled

"And who would dare impose a curfew on me?" She asked with a raised brow.

"Uhm.your boyfriend maybe," Jason went on as he waited for her reaction.

"And that's where you're wrong" she said

"In what say" he asked

"No one has any rights over me at the moment...wait a minute, I see what you did there" Marla said as she realized that Jason just got her to confess that she's single

"One has to be smart these days" Jason said as he opened her car door.

"Nicely played Mr West," she said as she stood by her door.

"How about we end this wonder ful night with a glass of wine at my place?"she asked.

"As awesome as that sounds, there's no way I'm going to get into the passenger's seat in this car" Jason replied as he smiled and let out a chuckle

" I'll let you drive" she said trying to convince him as she wiggled the keys in front of his face.

"That's more insult to injury Marla" he responded as he lowered her hand

"Don't tell me that you're intimidated by a girl in a fast car." She teased a bit

"Not exactly," Jason jumped in,"l need to sort out some things concerning work"

"Its on Friday night and you're still thinking about work. You need to live a little bit more" Marla said as she tried to convince him

"You can tease me all you want,but that's how my weekend is going to kickoff, unfortunately" Jason said as she got into the car and he closed the door

"If you insist on not joining me now then how about some other time," she said as he leaned in on the window

"Another date?" He asked

"Yes,l wouldn't mind. But this time it's your call on where and when'" she said

"Fine.l'll tell you by Monday" Jason said as he leaned in and gave her a peck on the cheek.

"See you then on Monday" she said as she rolled down the window and drove off. Jason got to look at his watch and saw that it was quarter to ten. As he checked Athena's address on his phone he saw that he was only a few blocks away. He decided to walk and along the way he picked up a bottle of fine wine. When he got to her door it took a few rings of the doorbell for the door to open. He couldn't help but notice that Athena looked quite different without office clothes. Her hair was let down to fall on her shoulders and on her face and due to it's lustrous nature it looked like she had just come out of the shower. She had on a short robe which was white in colour that went to her knees and she had on a pair of slides on her feet. Even through the robe, Jason could still see all her curves as she had tied the robe's belts around her waist. After a few seconds of silence and admiration at her beauty Jason finally pulled out the bottle of wine and said,

"I brought some wine

"You're late" she responded as she took the bottle of wine from his hands.

"I kinda lost track of time. But at least I made it" Jason said with a smirk on his face

"I almost thought you're not coming" she said as she huffed obviously mad at him

"That's the second time today that you're doubting me. I'm tempted to question when you said that you trusted me might have just been for show" he said as he eyed her curiously.

"I meant what I said" she defended herself

"Then you wouldn't mind me asking if you let in strangers into your house," Jason asked and before she could answer he added,"'in the middle of the night?"

"Not exactly,l'd only let in people I trust" she responded

"Do you trust me? Jason asked

"Yes I do" Athena replied

"Then what am I still doing outside your door?" Jason asked again. Once again, he had managed to manipulate the course of

a conversation into his favour. The reaction on Athena's face was a clear indication of a win.

"Damn it!" She said under her breath. She ushered him in into her living room where he chose to sit on her hybrid couch that could convert into a cozy bed.Athena had gone and brought some two glasses for them.

"So what's the plan for the night?" Jason asked to get a clearer image of her expectations

"I'd say we watch a movie, then later we can talk as we listen to music.. And see where the night will take us" she replied as they both took a sip of the wine.

"Let's watch this one" Athena said after scrolling through a list of some movies. As the movie started she joined Jason on the couch and lay next to him. To his surprise,

she took his hand and placed it on her hip as she snuggled close to him and settled as she continued to sip on her wine.
