Chapter 11:Attack at the courthouse.

Im your forever charming host Leonardo and today is a fine morning like no other as the sun is just on the horizon ready to wake up the city that never sleeps, today do we have a very juicy story to share with you. We have a great showdown at the Sin City courthouse! Miley tell us what's happening over there.."

"Well well well, Leo indeed today we are going to witness something we have never seen before. As you can see I'm just outside the courthouse as we wait for the motorcade to arrive ferrying one Daymond Magraff who is expected to arrive at around ten o'clock for this court hearing. One might wonder what is so special about him that this whole crowd has gathered here in great numbers at six o'clook and yet were hours away from his scheduled arrival. Well first of all this is going to be the first court hearing held on a weekend in Sin City and unlike any hearing today we are going to have a five-bench judge together with the jury listening to this case. Another interesting fact is that Daymond is being charged with multiple murders across the state and across Europe. You've probably heard about an alias by the name 'Serbian Slayer' being attached to this case,l don't want to say much about him because the mere mentioning of that name gives me the creeps. According to SCPD and Interpol the so called alias is known to have killed at least 47 people most of which are women and shockingly enough is that those are just the confirmed cases. Who knows how many have not been. I think that now gives you the magnitude of the case and that's why we're here today to give you live coverage of the hearing. Jason was standing at the window with the curtains drawn as he listened to the news. His mind wondered off into the distance as the sun shone on his bare chest. He was only in a pair of shorts and even if he didn't have a buff body, his body's physique was definitely on point. He had fairly visible abs and his chest was broad enough. He turned around and looked at the bed where Athena lay. The sun extended its rays to her delicate skin. She had covered herself pretty much except for her face and her left leg which was exposed up to her thighs. Jason couldn't help but admire her as she slept. She looked like an angel with the sun's rays bouncing off her face,all that was left was a halo to finish the look and a pair of magnificent wings. He thought it best not to bother her by waking her up. His phone buzzed on the nightstand beside the bed. He walked to the nightstand, took the phone and went back to the window. He stood in such a manner that he could see the sun and still keep a watchful eye on Athena. He picked the call with his gaze still fixed on her.

"Talk to me" he said in low tone into the mouthpiece. After a short pause he continued, "fine,l know. Just tell me when you're ready. And make sure you don't screw up. We have no room for mistakes." He ended the call and went back to bed and lay beside Athena who started stirring in the bed when he arrived.

She opened her eyes and in a sleepy voice she asked,

"What are you doing up this early?"

"I had to go for to the toilet" he said as he landed a kiss on her forehead and another on her lips

"Well get your ass inside these blankets.l need all the warmth I can get" she said as she opened the blankets fo him to crawl back in. As he lay beside her,she wrapped her arm round his chest and put her head on him. They both drifted back to sleep again. Across all police radios there were inaudible chattering in all the police channels."All routes are clear. The package is secure. So far so good, stay alert boys our ETA is T-4 hours"

It was around 8:30 when both Jason and Athena woke up.

"How did you sleep?" Jason asked as he looked into Athena's eyes. She smiled back at him revealing her dimples.

"Like a goddess," she responded as she playfully traced her finger along his chest "You know we have to get out of bed and start off the day"Jason said in a low voice

"Yes. How about I start by making breakfast while you take a shower. I might consider joining you in there," she teased

"l don't want to make you bed ridden today," Jason said amidst a chuckle.

They both got out of bed and Athena headed for the kitchen. Jason got undressed and walked into the shower. As he showered, Athena was in the kitchen making breakfast dressed in a robe. After a few minutes she was done and she served it for Jason as soon as he got out of the shower. As he stepped out of the shower and was wrapping a towel round his waist Athena walked into the bathroom.

"You couldn't wait for me?" She asked as he stepped in front of the sink to dry his hair with another towel.

"You took too long" he responded

"Well then,breakfast is ready and served. Save me a bite, will you" she said as she walked past him while undoing her robe. She let it fall to the ground as she stepped into the shower oblivious that the shower's gliding door was still open. Jason stopped drying his hair and glanced at her direction,with her back facing him he could see the water running down her hair onto her back and trick ling down her waist and butt to her feet. She turned up the shower temperature such that the her whole body was steaming with vapour in ways that had Jason in a state of reverie. She turned her head slightly and cleared her throat which brought Jason back from his daydream world.

"You can quit staring at my ass now" she said as she turned to face him. Instantly, Jason could feel blood rushing through his veins as he started to get a bit excited in his

load.

"I can't help it" he said as he took slow and steady steps to the shower. She just smiled at him as she run her fingers through her hair. He was about to step into the shower with her only for her to put her hand on his chest making him stop in his tracks.

"Not this time Romeo" she said as she leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. "Don't let the food get cold" she said as she backed up and slid the door locking him out.

Jason stood outside the shower wondering what the hell just happened. He just chuckled at the thought that Athena had already adopted some of his tactics. He turned and got his clothes out of the dry cleaning machine and put them on. This time he only wore the pull neck and trouser.

He turned on the tv as he sat down taking his breakfast.

"Ladies and gentlemen,welcome again to Sin City Hot Vibes where we are coming to you with the developing story for the better part of the day,once again it's your ground reporter Mikey Hales. So as you can see the crowd behind me is getting more lively since word just came in that the motorcade is almost here and clearly the tensions are rising outside these court buildings. If you look behind me you can see people holding banners with all sorts of accusations and others which are in support of Daymond.

Some are condemning him as a serial killer who's supposedly deemed as a sociopath while others are saying that this whole thing is a charade by the government to put an innocent man behind bars to please the people since they have proved incompetent in finding the actual Serb Slayer. They are asking questions like how can such an honoured member of the society go to the

extent of killing so many people to even killing his own daughter. I won't be the judge of that because my job is to tell you what the ruling will entail. This will definitely prove to be one of those cases where the verdict can go either way.As l..hold on.. yes, we just got word that they are just around the corner. If you look down the street you can see the cars taking this turn! My God! Listen to this crowd! I can barely... "

Jason was fixed on the TV when his phone rang. He answered it after ensuring that Athena wasn't in the proximity.

"Update" he murmured lowly

"I'm in position, are you ready for this?" The receiver on the other end asked

"Surprise me. Make it rain" Jason replied as he hang up the phone. Athena walked out of the shower and went to the sitting room with only a towel hanging from her chest to her

thighs. She stood beside Jason and was watching the ongoing commotion outside the court house, as she dried her hair she sat on his lap and asked him,

"So,did you like your breakfast?'

"Yes I did,though I was hopping for something to drink down. You know, to wash down the food" he responded as he kissed her on the lips. They started kissing and soon the temperatures started rising but as soon as Jason started working his hand up her stomach and moving up slowly she immediately broke away from the kiss.

"Why'd you do that?" He asked genuinely confused

"Not now.l just came from taking a shower. I don't want you making me go back there" she said as she stood up and went to change her clothes. She soon came back into the sitting room and sat next to Jason as they continued watching the broadcast and engaged in small talk

"Sooo..about yesterday," Jason started to speak but went quiet as if he was rethinking what he wanted to say

"Mmh,what about it?" She inquired

"lt's just that.l..kinda did something I'm not sure how to address it" he picked up, "aargh.no beating around the bush.let's call a spade a spade,shall we?Yesterday was something I can't forget and honestly, during the moment of ecstasy I wasn't able to control my own body and my thoughts were clouded meaning I was in the moment right

there and then. In short I unloaded in you and I'm not so sure how that'll go down since you don't seem a bit stressed about getting preg.." He went on saying only to be cut off by Athena who started laughing

"Pregnant! You are worried that I'm going to get pregnant. I'm not any careless girl out there who after having a hot and steamy night goes out rushing to get a birth control pill from the nearest chemist shop. I'm under one birth control method so stop thinking too far. I want to be a mom but not now." She said after laughing at the start

"Well that's a relief, now what are you planning for the weekend?" He asked her

"Wel.." She said as she put her hand on his, "I was hoping if you'd stay here with me and keep me company till

tomorrow"

Jason kinda liked that Athena had started liking his presence around her. He wasrn't sure if he really had started developing feelings for her but since his past experience was not the best when it came to relationships he wasn't yet ready to go all in like a crazy gambler in a casino. What Athena didn't know is that she had only heard half of the story concerning the Ghost of Europe. He was more than she could ever imagine and he had gone through what no one could possibly imagine. Despite his demeanor, Jason had a dark past that always haunted him. He had made decision that he always regretted and hated. Deep down he wanted to tell Athena who he really is and about his past but he knew best not to trust anyone that easy.

"I'm sorry but I can't stay here all day,remember I have to go through those documents that are due on Monday so I'll 

need to write a report for the firm but guess what? You will now see my face more that you can imagine. All day every day, in your office." He said with a smile

"Don't make me regret letting you work from my office" she responded

"That is a promise I cannot assure you l'll keep" Jason said as he handed her a cup of coffee with some sausages on the side to which she started gobbling down. Jason then raised the volume of the TV,

"He's here! He's here!"Myley Hales, the news reporter was speaking into her mic as she struggled to get to the front of the crowd to get a better view of the motorcade arriving. "So ladies and gentlemen as you can see

Daymond is finally here and....what the heck was that??!!! "

Hales suddenly stopped talking as the crowd went silent Jason and Athena's attention suddenly turned to the TV as they both wondered what was happening. The cameraman who was still recording caught a glimpse of the cars that had suddenly come to a halt and about 5 fully armed men came out of the car with their guns ready making the crowd tense up.

"That sounded like a gunshot! I'm not so sure of what I heard but from the looks of it and how the personnel guarding the accused have responded I have every reason to believe that it was definitely a gunshot we've all heard" Myley said as she started looking around.

Athena took out her phone to enquire from Alpha if he was following up on the news but Jason just said 'wait' with his eyes still fixed on the TV to which she stopped dialing and

put her phone back on the table. Something seemed odd too her, it almost looked like Jason was eagerly waiting for something to happen. He was so focused on the TV as the

crowd was still in a bit of confusion when suddenly, in the midst of the silence a second shot was heard. This time it was very clear and loud and sounded like it came from every direction leaving the crowd on edge. About a second later, one of the headlights suddenly burst into smithereens sending the whole crowd into a frenzy.
